This is powerful! I keep coming back to the "Linked in memory" line. Isn't that what we argue about today - how to remember the past?
ReplyDeleteWell done Maggie. I like the idea that freedom is an amazing light but that it took a long time to achieve and might not always involve only joy. It is a nicely balanced poem for the first day of the program!
