Pantoum Poem by Emily Zheng
Dedicated by the Pennsylvanian Society of Sons of the RevolutionFreedom is a light in which many men have died in darkness
“I’m getting my glucose test so I’m sitting here.”
“Barry the soldier has a sword.”
Freedom is a light in which many men have died in darkness
“What are you two doing?”
“Barry the soldier has a sword.”
“This is between me and Chuck.”
“What are you two doing?”
Please not in our garden
“This is between me and Chuck.”
“I can’t hear you.”
Please not in our garden
“I’m getting my glucose test so I’m sitting here.”
“I can’t hear you.”

I like the way that your poem flows
ReplyDeleteThis is Emily's poem (hi I'm Helen) but I do agree with the above comment on the flow; I like the quotes and how random they are! They work well together :)
ReplyDeleteI also found the flow of your piece to be very enjoyable ,and
DeleteI also enjoyed the flow of your Poem , I especially enjoyed reading the variety of over heard comments that you included in your Piece.
DeleteI enjoy the use of overheard comments and conversations in concert with more sober lines found in the park. It gives the work a kind of dark humor, especially in the second stanza where the back and forth of the conversation is punchy and humorous.
