Pantoum Poem by Joseph Chang
A congregation of the dead
Revolution linked them in life
In unmarked graves within the square
Here lies thousands of unknown soldiers
Revolution linked them in life
The shrine joins them in remembrance
Here lies thousands of unknown soldiers
Linked together in memory
The shrine joins them in remembrance
Those who fought for freedom
Linked together in memory
A light for which many have died in darkness
Those who fought for freedom
In unmarked graves within the square
A light for which many have died in darkness
A congregation of the dead
Using "A congregation of the dead" for your first/last lines works really well with this pantoum!
ReplyDeleteI loved your theme and tone in this pantoum! I wonder how you got the 'real life' quotes... they fit so well!
ReplyDeleteI think
"Revolution linked them in life
The shrine joins them in remembrance"
Is my favourite phrase!!
I very much enjoyed reading your Pantoum Poem, and I continue to be moved by the Line which reads:"Freedom is a light for which many men have died in Darkness."
